Yoga class caters to warriors – News – Times Telegram

On most Wednesday afternoons, Deborah Ouderkirk of Holland Patent claims a convention room on the decrease degree of a VA outpatient medical care facility at Griffiss Business and Technology Park.

“I’m from a military family. This (Griffiss) was my father’s last duty station. It’s different than a job … they end up with scars,” she stated of working with veterans. Helping the micro-group “access healthiness inside is gratifying,” she stated.

“Eighty percent are people in their 40s through the Vietnam era. One lady comes with her service animal. They share with me. … Just the breath work we do in class helps them get through (tough situations).
